Q: Red Eye Tree Frog companions
I recently was given a VERY large aquarium which will convert very nicely into an extravagant vivarium for my tree frogs. I'd like to include some other creatures to make it very dynamic and interesting to watch. Any thoughts on what sorts of critters would do well in that sort of environment, such as newts, guppies, perhaps a terrestrial frog, keeping in mind that they need to share environmental requirements? (heat, humidity, water, light etc) I also realize that there is a chance that my frogs will eat their new companions since mine like anything that moves, so I'm looking for inexpensive critters.
Thanks for your input!

if you already have a red eyed tree frog then you can't buy any other sort of frog. Try guppies.
but if not then :
you can buy lots of green tree frogs and add in some gray ones. Green and Gray trees frogs are the same deal with different colors. So they will be able to live together. Also they live together peacefully in nature.
Now those are the only type of frogs you can mix.
Don't put newts with frogs. You can try the guppies if you like. Since they don't need lots of water and tree frogs will die if you have lots of water.
Wait so you're saying that you know that your frog will eat it's companion, then why are u getting a companion at all? Why waste the money and why put your frog's life on the line? Can't you just buy more red eyed tree frogs?

I hate to object but green tree frogs are NOT the same as grey tree frogs. Grey tree frogs can come in green
( I have one ) but they are NOT green tree frogs becauase of this. Grey tree frogs come in grey(DUH):), brown, and green. I've eeven heard of a gold one but would have to see it to believe it. My green grey tree frog can change from green to grey depending on where she sits in the aquarium. : )

um no... they are the same frogs with different color!
You just said Grey tree frogs come in brown, GREEN and gray.
Yes the gray and green tree frog have different scientific names but they are brothers!
Nothing wrong with keeping them together
