Q: New born kittens and mum.

I have new born kittens born 48hrs ago ,is it normal for mum to get up and wonder out side for 5 or 10minuits then come back to her kittens.Mum and her kittens are doing very very well and yes im not a breeder and dealer which may make some angry but i am keeping all the kittens all four and my cat is being sterilised after weaning and the cat she got pregnant by is a friends cat.
