Q: Skink hunger strike

My blue-tongued skink is on a hunger strike. He does not eat anything I give him. He won't even eat megaworms. He seems otherwise healthy. What should I do?

A: Skink hunger strike

How long has it been since your skink has eaten? What have you tried feeding it? What is his enclosure like (what is the temp levels? what is the humidity levels? what type of heat and light are you providing?

Here is a good caresheet on skinks:

If you are doing everything right, and your skink is loosing weight it might be time for you to get it to a reptile vet.

Provide us with more information, or contact a reptile vet for an appointment.
