Q: 1 Turtle not eating/ Another with Smelly waste
Hi my question is this I have a java leaf turtle that does not look sick at all she was eating very slow at first but lately she has not been eating at all I have her in a very nice aquarium with half land and half water I have her a basking area too. I have hidding places for her to hide. She is active and alert but does not want to eat the collard, veggies, or aquatic food I bought her. I was told to giver her meal worms and does not want them either, should I try red worms, or what can I give her or what is a good nutrition plan for her???? can I purchase vitamins for her atthe pet store. I also have a nother turtle same kind that has very smelly waste I feed her aquatic food, and (anacharid plants) I believe thats the way you spell it???/ It looks like if she has diereah her waste is very loose sort of watery looking and very stinky. This may be normal, and I dont know about it??? I had never smelled such faul smell on there waste before. Can I use any medication to prevent dehydration? Can I de-worm them and maybe that will stop the strong smell and runny waste. Any advise/ tips will help, I dont have enough money to take her to the vet. Last time I took one of my turtles because they did not want to eat and were moving very slow/ they were not alert and so on>>all they did was tell me the turtle was dehydrated they were able to tell by turning the turtle upside down and looking at the shell inside were teh openings of teh neck are. They recommended for her to have 1/2 part land 1/2 part water and basking area which this time I have for this two turtles. Thank you very much for your time
